DRIVE GUARD (3G RUN FLAT)

Grand Touring All-Season

Overall Rating (8.1)

Bridgestone DriveGuard

All-Season Touring Tire with Run Flat Technology

The Bridgestone DriveGuard is an all season tire engineered to allow you to drive up to 50 miles as a maximum speed of 50 mph, after a puncture or complete loss of air pressure.

Features and Benefits:

Low-Pressure Mobility (Run Flat)

A NanoPro-Tech rubber insert reinforces the tire making it capable of supporting the entire weight of the vehicle, even at zero pressure.  Proprietary “Cooling Fins” create airflow around the tire, reducing heat build-up for added low-pressure mobility.

Longer Wear Life

An optimized contact patch (the space where the tire meets the road) distributes weight evenly across the entire surface, allowing for even wear and longevity.

Comfortable All-Season Ride

Silica and special rubber polymers boost DriveGuard’s handling in wet conditions.  An asymmetrical tread pattern goes a step further to channel water out of the way.

Comments Needed a run flat replacement for the Bridgestone Turanza's that were on the car when I bought it. Didn't want the $300 BMW dealer tires so decided to try these. Great write up in the car mag's and I've had great experience with Town Fair (S Attleboro, MA). These tires ride noticeably softer / quieter than the Turanza's. As a 205/50, they're still a low profile....so the ride can only be so soft! No noticeable road noise ....so at least as quiet or quieter than the Turanza's. Got them in time for all this snow and I've been impressed with the traction. My 135i is a rear wheel drive, so traction problems are due more to this than the tires! Very happy with them so far and recommend them!
