WINTERFORCE SUV

Light Truck/SUV Studdable Winter Snow

Overall Rating (9.1)

The Winterforce SUV is studable (pinned for #12 studs) for those conditions that require more traction than a studless winter tire can deliver. With or without studs, the Firestone Winterforce UV is a capable winter tire that features a computer modeled tread design with high-sipe density to provide superior traction in the snow, wet, or on ice. The Firestone Winterforce SUV is M+S rated and it meets the severe snow service requirements of the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA).

Comments This is the second set of studded snow tires I've had on this vehicle and they are far superior to the Cooper Discovery snows I had previously. Far better traction, alot less noise, better handling, braking, fuel economy -no noteable difference from my summer tires. I absolutely LOVE these tires and would compare them to the Hakapelita with studs, and the Gislaved I've had on other vehilcles. Pleasantly surprised with this less expensive model!

Comments This is a nice tire but it does make a bit more noise than I would like. I have not driven in snow yet, so it's too early to assess the grip.

Comments I deliver the newspaper and drive 100 miles a day. I put these tires on my Saturn Vue around Jan 1, 2012 and they are still in great shape and if I would have rotated them more thene I did they would be so much better. Im buying another pair and putting this pair in the garage and just maybe I'll put them back on in the spring and ride them down and save my new pair for the following winter as well. Buy them you won't be sorry because I drive back county roads not highway.

Comments Put only 100 miles on the set so far. I drove home at high speed for an hour. The tire hum was low, barely noticeable. Handling was very responsive. Service in Augusta, ME was great.
