General Altimax Arctic tires are designed for coupes, sedans, minivans, crossovers, light pickup trucks, and SUVs like the Honda Fit and Subaru Impreza. Enhanced winter weather traction in near and below freezing temperatures, excellent control, and handling put the General Altimax Arctic tire at the top of its class. With a tire like this both you and your young driver will feel more confident when you go out for those driving lessons.

Features and Benefits
  • General's All-Weather Dual Tread compound enhances cold weather flexibility and wet traction. The compound is molded into a tread design with a Center Stability Rib and directional pattern that combines straight line stability on dry roads with enhanced water evacuation and hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush covered roads.
  • 270 degrees of high density siping across the face of the tire helps to enhance snow traction when accelerating, cornering, and braking.
  • Alternating rows of optional metal studs can be added in the shoulder and intermediate tread blocks to increase traction on hard packed snow and icy roads.
  • The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts on top of a polyester casing that features Reactive Contour Technology to react to different road conditions and maintain more consistent contact with the road.

Comments These tires are incredible for the price and outlasted the $800 dollar Bridgestone tires, wear was even and got a lot of miles from these tires compared to many other brands that were more expensive and awesome in the snow and ice!

Comments Got 2 General Altimax Artic last year to replace Mastercraft Glacier, which, by the way, were good. The Altimax Artic are simply the best winter tires I have ever had, surpassing the Pirelli and even the Bridgestone Blizzak I had some bad winters ago. Wet traction is excellent; no slipping when accelerating from a stop and braking is smooth. Snow traction is also excellent, no matter its depth. Will definitely buy again!
