TRAIL GRAPPLER MT

On and Off Road All Terrain

Overall Rating (8.6)

MUD TERRAIN TIRE

The Trail Grappler® M/T provides an aggressive mud tread design with on-road quiet ride performance. The 3-ply sidewall and thick rubber construction increase puncture resistance. Leading edge tread and side lug blocks provide additional biting edges that command lateral stability and enhance forward traction.

DUAL SIDEWALL DESIGNS
Each Grappler has two sidewall designs so you can choose how your tires look. On the Trail Grappler one side has stylized lettering with V-shaped sidewall lugs and the other has traditional lettering with flat buttresses.

TREAD BLOCK ARRANGEMENT
A common complaint with mud terrain tires is their noise level. Nitto's engineers set out to design an aggressive -- and yet quiet -- off-road tire. Using 3D computer simulation, Nitto's engineers were able to systematically adjust the size, shape and position of the tread blocks. As a result, Nitto produced an off-road tire that is 34% quieter at street speeds and 36% quieter at highway speeds.* *Compared to Nitto Mud Grappler

DURABILITY
The 3-ply sidewall with a high turn-up construction acts as an extra layer of reinforcement to increase puncture resistance.

ON-ROAD COMFORT
Nitto’s proprietary, automated manufacturing system produces extraordinarily uniform tires. This creates a smooth ride on paved roads.

SHOULDER GROOVES
Reinforced shoulder grooves add additional off-road and all-season performance without compromising tread block stiffness.

CENTRAL SIPING
Deep center sipes decrease hydroplaning and increases traction in wet conditions.

MUD EVACUATION
The balanced void ratio efficiently removes mud and dirt from the tread to provide continuous off-road traction.

Comments These tires are awesome and are killer for plowing snow. I would totally recommend them. What was great was that town fair mathed the Internet price I found that was $50 cheaper a tire.

Comments Great tire all around, the longevity is incredible! These tires are about 1/2 worn at 35K. They are starting to get noisy, but I went too long w/o an alignment and tires started chopping. Rotated about every 10K. Rears wear faster, but with a hopped up Diesel and a lot of towing, that is to be expected.

Comments Actually have 35/12.5/20 on my truck. Tires are amazing in dirt, mud. They wear like iron. I have 48k on them and they are due to be replaced. I tow regularly and have rotated the tires about every 7500. Only downside is they are terrible with hydroplaning. More than likely the width is to blame. All and all great tires! And they look great, aggressive, perfect on a lifted truck or any truck.

Comments These tires are fairly expensive and I would expect to get much better longevity out of them. I do primarily highway driving and snow plowing with this truck and they have not performed up to the cost of the tire. My current expectation is that I will only get 35,000 miles out of these tires.
